About Niteblade Fantasy and Horror Magazine
Niteblade Fantasy and Horror Magazine
Niteblade
by Rhonda Parrish

Nimble monsters creep through passageways
Infested with devious plots that hang like cobwebs
Tendrils reach out to touch your cheek –
Ensnaring you with their ghostly fingers
Brushing at them only catches you up more,
Leaving you helpless and weak
Alone in the dark you hear a nightmare approach
Dank breath washes over you as a gaping maw
Envelops you completely, pulling you into the tale.

Niteblade Fantasy and Horror Magazine is a one-woman show at present. I keep hearing about how fantasy and horror are dying genres and I want to prove that to be false.

Niteblade will be published online on an irregular basis -- I'm aiming for quarterly but am unwilling to compromise when it comes to story quality, so depending upon submissions it may be less frequent than that. I'm also hoping to put out a print anthology once a year. If I've missed anything that you'd like to know about, please drop me a line at Rhonda@niteblade.com

Is Niteblade free?
Yes and no. The web-based versions will be available at no cost -- but will contain advertisements. There will be ad-free PDF versions of the magazines available to download for a miniscule fee, and each year a print anthology will be released featuring the very best of the year's work.

Can I write for you?
Please do. Niteblade is 100% freelance driven. You can check out all the details on the submissions page.

Why is it called Niteblade?
See that girl in the logo? That's a sketch that was drawn for me by Ira Ney of my roleplaying character, Twilyte Niteblade. I'm an AD&D nerd from way back -- and I allowed that to color my decision for a magazine name.
