So Shy!

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Wow, people are so shy :) I’ve had a emails from people wanting free copies of Niteblade to blog about, but no one has commented on the blog here. Interesting, no? Anyway, all the free copies are gone, thank you to everyone who emailed me. I will link to people’s reviews as they come in :)

In other unrelated but exciting news, tomorrow will be the first installment of a new feature here at the Niteblade blog — author interviews :) David Drake has kindly agreed to answer some questions and I’ll be sharing those answers with you tomorrow. I highly recommend stopping by.

Issue #6: Oh, Christmas Tree

Monday, December 1st, 2008

It’s out! The brand new version of Niteblade went live just after midnight Mountain Standard Time. I’m biased, of course, but I think it’s amazing. The best yet!

This month’s cover story is “Oh, Christmas Tree” by S. Alan Fox. I loved the story and considering the month, how could I not chose it for the cover? When I sent the story to Marge she wrote me back even before beginning the art to tell me how much she liked the story too. I’m sure all Niteblade readers will feel the same.

As awesome as “Oh, Christmas Tree” is, and it is full of awesome, it’s not the only great piece in this month’s issue. We have zombies, werewolves, religion, body swappers, love, murder — the list is extensive.

You may notice there is less poetry than usual in this issue — that’s because there were less poetry submissions than usual and won’t pick pieces just to ‘fill the spaces’. If you’re a poet, send your work in, I’d love to see it.

Do you blog? I’m giving away free .pdf versions of Niteblade to the first five people who comment here or email me (rhonda@niteblade.com) with the URL to their blog. The only condition is that after you’ve read your copy you promise to blog about it and send me a link. That’s it.

Whether you blog or not, we’d love to hear your thoughts on the new issue. :)

Enjoy.
